I had been looking for an old van to have as my first car, but didn’t really want a Volkswagen or an Econoline, so my dad and I went searching for a Dodge A-100. Quite by accident, we found it behind an upholstery shop in Durham. We were getting the roof of my dad’s 1989 Merkur XR4TI 3 Door re-upholstered and dad mentioned that I was looking for a Dodge A-100. The guy looked over his shoulder out a window and asked “you think he’ll like that one?” I said hell yea, so we dragged it home (much to the displeasure of our home owners association) and cleaned her up. I've had it for about 5 months now, but with 3 months of work and almost $2,000 later, she’s almost road worthy.
