Vanquished : This is my 1965 Econoline I call "Vanquished. It has a built 200ci motor with Clifford Performances 6=8 technology. The custom exhaust was designed by me and consists of six chrome Corvette exhaust tips coming out in front of the rear tires with Flowmaster Delta Force single chamber mufflers and Clifford Performance headers. 225 HP and 300 pounds of torque. It is dedicated to Route 66 "The Mother Road". It has three screens , one a 7' pop up in the dash. a 17" drop down in the middle and a 32" facing out of the rear doors. Two Arc audio amps, six Clarion 6x9 speakers, two Clarion 12" subs and a Clarion head unit. It also has a 25 farad capacitor, two Optima batteries, a 3500 watt inverter and a 200 amp alternator. The Rims are Cragar SS wrapped in Mickey Thompson Indy SS tires. The ice chest and cabinets are all custom made of polished aluminum diamond plate. There is a microwave oven and soon I will add a theater style popcorn machine . It also has a gas powered margarita mixer. The blue and white tuck and roll it a retro look combined with modern electronics. Future plans include a set of train horns that can heard up to 3 miles away, custom paint job with wrap around mural, some custom gauges, a console, under body LEDS as well as some interior LEDS and some fog lights.

Oldpro's '66 A-100(AKA The Steady Rollin’ Van) : I had been looking for an old van to have as my first car, but didn’t really want a Volkswagen or an Econoline, so my dad and I went searching for a Dodge A-100. Quite by accident, we found it behind an upholstery shop in Durham. We were getting the roof of my dad’s 1989 Merkur XR4TI 3 Door re-upholstered and dad mentioned that I was looking for a Dodge A-100. The guy looked over his shoulder out a window and asked “you think he’ll like that one?” I said hell yea, so we dragged it home (much to the displeasure of our home owners association) and cleaned her up. I've had it for about 5 months now, but with 3 months of work and almost $2,000 later, she’s almost road worthy.

flashvan : hello: up until a year ago i thought i had the only chevy "no window" early in my region. in the last year i have discovered that there are others that i can share my over confident, dominating, conceited thoughts and feelings that burdens every "no window" early owner because there modest awesome everyday (people and drivers) that are automaticly in the top placing, coolest, most popular cruiser and know it, but they don't show it. early owner to early owner get togethers where your cool and your surrounded by coolness - doing what only a unique handfull of men are able to do - own and drive a "no window" early - proof alone of a mans dedication, respect and recognizing the obvious early vans are cool and they rule, thanks, flashvan.

Stevan Econo-Mizer : These are my three Econolines. The window van is a "63 the cargo van is a "66 and the pick up is a "68 They have been waiting for the day they can be driven, and I hope that in "09 it may happen, at least for two of them. BILLS66 Good Things Come With Time : After watching this van at work for 21 years I finally got it bought ,Drove it for a short while and decided she needed a little attention and there is the start of the story.Went to the body shop april of 2007 since then it's had a complete V8 conversion,from radiator to the transmission.Now has the big doghouse ,new shifter,seat belts.Next was on to media blast.All bodywork done and she is in prime.All inside doors and jams are done in the final color RED,dash all cleaned up and painted.Just about time for her to come home.2/07/09 she left the body shop and drove home.After a couple months working on the 66 4/19/09 Its on the roaed !drove of and on all day ,what a drive,She is now a true driver.

DanTheVanMan's 1966 Chevy G10 (Coca-Cola Delivery Van) : 1966 Chevy Van (G1205) Formally a Coca-Cola of Atlanta Delivery Truck. This is a perfect example of a “Barn Find”. Locating it in Rockmart, Ga. 50 miles northwest of Atlanta. The owner bought it from Coca-Cola of Atlanta in May of 1977 after being used as a local Coca-Cola delivery truck for 11 years. It was parked for the next 5 years in a barn (Yes, a barn…). Then move outside next to that same barn for the last 26 years.. Its initial outward appearance at first made me think it was a “Basket Case”. But after a closer inspection I quickly realized what I had found. The perfect project van. The years it had set out in the barn and later outside it had built up a layer of pine straw on the roof which after brushed off revealed a lot of surface rust, but only a very light amount. The roof was solid. And the rest of the body was even better. A few dings and dents of course and several layers of spray paint was used to cover the Coca-Cola on the sides as well as he had spray primer on the lower half at some point. RipVanArkie's 67 Econoline : Here's ths story on Betsy, my newest Econoline... John Robinson of Hot Springs, Ar., has been trying to save every Econoline he knows about from the crusher. He called me one day and says he has located a 67 Econoline that can be purchased for $???.??! Without seeing a picture I tell him I want it and we made arrangements to rescue the van. The sellers were very reluctant to let Betsy go as shel moved them to Arkansas from California so many years ago. After relocating to Arkansas Betsy got Mr Marshall from one job to another as he was a painter. When he retired Mr Marshall parked Betsy in the yard and kept her up as good as he could. When he heard about John saving Econolines from the crusher he made the call. John and I arrived on a Saturday afternoon, put some 'yard tires' on Betsy and winched her up on the trailer. Once we arrived at Johns house, where Betsy spent her last night in Hot Springs, we inspected her inside and out, over and under. Other than some rot around the battery box, there is zero rust-through! This one is going to be for my wife! Betsy: 1967 Econoline Cargo Van, 240 I6, HD C4 automatic, 9" rear with 3.00.1 gears, factory backup lights, tan checked seats and brown padded dash, sold from the Los Angeles sales office.

Kakster's 67 G10 : Some photos of my 67 Chevy shortie van before its resting for some years, then newer photos of its reemergence as a beach bound early. I got it while schooling in Santa Barbara from a roommate who found it out in the Lancaster desert. The Van's origin was as a service van for Schonigs TV, and then through the roommate it became mine. I Kryloned it white put in paneling and surfboard racks then it became my driver for years. Disintegrating gas tank parts forced me to park the beast for nearly a decade, but of late I have been bringing this diamond in the rough back to life. These photos document this reemergence.

Carl & Martha's Econoline : Here are a few pictures of the 1967 Econoline we bought in March '08. Cassius Clay bought this van new and owned it for 40 years. Mr. Clay owned the Western Auto Store in Welsh Louisiana and used it for deliveries. This van is all original, including the tissue box dated 1966 in the dispenser mounted between the sunvisors.

Poochie The 1961 Econoline Delivery Van : This is my 1961 Econoline Delivery van that was given to me by my dads co-worker. It had belonged to his grandfather who bought it new and used it for his wholesale business, and every night of the vans working life it was pulled into a warehouse, he retired the van in 1986 and it sat in a garage until December 2007 when me and my dad loaded it onto a trailer to be ressurected and brought back to life. The only things i am going to do are switch out the worn rims for some new rims and tires(Cragars) and with gas prices the way they are heading either a 240/300 I6 or a mild 2bbl 302. Follow along as i upload more pictures of the progression of my van "Poochie." It will also be lowered with a custom frame.

The StorageVan story,,,,,,, : I buy this 65 Chevy SportVan at a storage lot lien sale in Nov 2007 for VAnagain to fix up. But he does not want to. So I tow it to his house and we tear it down for its parts. Vanish comes and takes the body back to his area to his friends house. Then VANagain buys the New York Van and needs some body parts off the StorageVan, so we go up to where it is parked, and I tow it again to Vanishes' place, on New Years Day 2008, where we finish it off,,,,,,,

VANagain's 65 Sportvan Deluxe : VANagain (formerly RicoEQ) has an Early van again! After selling his beloved 66 Chevy van in 1994 in a moment of weakness, he tried other vans, settling on a 91 VW Vanagon. Not a bad substitute, sort of a modern-day Early, but ultimately the lure of the old Chevy van was too much. Now with the help of the good folks at VintAGE-Vans and VCVC, he has found this beautiful 65 Chevy Sportvan Deluxe!

RipVanArkie's Mid-Engine Econoline Project : John and Trish Robinson of Hot Springs Arkansas are who I have to thank for this little project! They told me about it last year at the Econoline MidSouth meet that is held each year at Petit Jean State Park here in Arkansas on Labor Day Weekend. Plug, Plug!! THey even drove me to Russellville to see the truck and get the sellers info. This Econoline will by no means be "Super Street" but a mild custom with no visible changes to the truck. The engine is a stock 302 backed by a HD 3-speed transmission. It will have 4-wheel power disc brakes and roll on Ranger aluminum wheels. The only body mod in the plan is a bat-wing style tailgate made from van doors. The engine will be moved to the rear about 22 inches allowing much more cab space. This will mean that part of the doghouse is in the bed, but that will be covered by a sliding truck-box that will actually serve as the rear engine cover. We will not begin this project until later this year, after the show season. Expect to see pictures added as the progress continues! Later, Rip

Paul Waddell's 67 Econoline PU : 1967 Econoline PU recently purchased from William Bodnar. Steve (ripvanarkie) is my son in law and when he told me this truck was available, I couldn't resist! I have been wanting to join him in the fun since his first Econoline Meet up on Petit Jean Mt. The body is very nice with minimal damage or rust. Very nice tailgate! Currently equipped with a 200 CID six from a Maverick, 3 speed and a light rear with 3.50:1 ratio. Hoping to get good mileage!

Atom's `64 Chevy : My 1964 camper that i am currently restoring. The van originally had a pop top, but was sadly removed and replaced with very leaky plywood. She still has the original water inlet and Plug in's.I added Black glass in rear and side, and a black sliding window on drivers side.I removed the old 194cc and replaced with a 250 straight six. Found a 68 handibus 90" its been there a long time, not much left. swaybar, dashpad.glove box lid.instrument cluster,tail lights, door step, couple pop out windows, drivers door. Also found a 65 totaly stripped execp for a few rough doors but a very interesting ID tag I have not seen before, It says General Motors of Canada and includes the engine ID number as well as the VIN.This kind of tag is not on my van which has spent its life in Canada, si I guess mine was am import. m1dadio's 1st gen power brakes : This is a Bendix HydroVac booster mounted just inside the grill bellow the heater.You cansee the four mounting bolts on the floor slope under the Hulla air freshner.The booster can bee seen at this site here: http://www.bepco.biz/VacHydCat/S3_.pdf on page 9 of this pdf file its part number 379900X New imformation on this booster in my van. Continuing my research I was able to borow a Chilton 61 to 71 truck manual. The chevy section is mostly vans and so most ilistrations are of 1st and 2nd gen vans. It has a page on power brakes and shows the exact booster that is in my van. The text says these boosters were used begining in 1963. Thanks to inter libreary lending I was able to get this book from a library up north closer to Alaska and to my suprise it is in mint condition, no greasy fingerprints. too bad I have to return it. 1966 Econoline "Vanishing Breed" : Classic custom all show and go 1966 Ford Econoline van. It is candy apple red (29 coats), with 9 layers of Tru fire " Flames covered with 7 coats of clear. Rides on Dayton gold spoke rims wrapped with Goodyear eagles. Motor is a 419 HP 347 stroker with Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads,. All of the following are aluminum, all pullys and brackets, Edelbrock air gap intake, water pump, Pertronix billit distributor,Griffin aluminum radiator, Holley polished aluminum fuel pump, Edelbrock polished carb, stainless steal radiator hoses, racing transmission, new 9" rearend and new drive shaft, Wilwood 13" rear disc brakes and 11" front disc brakes, 24 carat gold chandeliers, solid gold ignition key, Dolphin Gold Gauges, gold shifter plate and knob on B&M Quicksilver shifter, lots of Andes Rosewood on the dash, doors etc. Real tinted glass, mahogany alcohol burning fire place and 5 fish tanks. Bed with partition and 2400 watt sound system with soon to be added DVD player and 17" screen. Polished aluminum belly pan and gas tank. Custom made headers with Jet Hot sterling coat and electric cutouts with Flowmaster super 40 mufflers. Mike Cook Vice President Inland Vans Berdoo Vannin since 1969 more.... The van is almost complete. Still got a few things to do like electric window and install heaters in the front seats. I didn't mention it before but the van has electric remote doorlocks on all doors and an interior motin detector alarm. It is in the shop getting several mods done to it including a new custom dog house that will look like a coffin and will slide out towards the back of the van and then up and out to show off the motor. The top of the dog house will be Andes rosewood to match the dash etc and the bottom will be upholstered. It will be insulated on the inside with a high temp material simialr to Dynamat. I just got the shift plate and shifter knob back form the gold plater. It looks awesome and hopefully my van will be the only one with a gold B&M shift plate and knob. We are making some custom aluminum bumpers out of aluminum tubing that will also have the word VANNIN in the middle.

BvrWally's Econo-Bar! : Here a few shots of the "Econo-Bar" I built from an "N.O.S." front skin I found in a rural farm barn a few years back! The fellow had it for the past 20 years in a loft in the barn! He had bought it to repair a 1961 Econoline of which he had owned and wrecked and never got around to repairing it? I found it and built this "Rolling" bar: I always wanted to build a bar from the front of an "Early" van. It wasn't until I located this NOS panel that I finally got the opportunity to make my dreams come true. We use this "Conversation" piece of a bar for all of the visitors to our home each and every chance we can. In the summer months, we roll it out into the "Van Port" and lock the wheels and "Instant" party! It sports an "On-Board" sound system and can hold approximately 300 CD's in the custom built cabinets on the back side. The speakers are rated for @ 600 watts, subs that is. All lights, both turn signal and headlights are fully functional! It weighs in @ 600 #'s, but with the built in wheels, rolls quite nicely! Oh, did I mention, that it also has an on-board "Fog-Machine?" Rollie E.
